We are now looking for a production manager in logging who wants to contribute to a sustainable, safe, and efficient supply of raw materials from forest to customer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the production flow, leading teams, and developing our processes. As a production manager, you play a central and important role in ensuring that logging work is carried out according to plan, with the right volumes and high quality. You work closely with our service providers where you lead work teams and ensure that operations are conducted according to our safety and environmental requirements. In this role, you have a large network throughout the supply chain, from the moment the forest is logged until the wood is delivered. This involves contacts and ongoing dialogues both internally and externally.

Your main tasks include:

  • Planning and managing the flow of timber to achieve ordered volumes and delivery requirements
  • Scheduling work teams, machines, and resources for maximum efficiency
  • Working with pricing, settlement of logging objects with follow-ups in the field.
  • Monitoring and quality assuring logging work with our service providers
  • Driving forecasting work and cost monitoring to keep operations within budget
  • Acting as a link between Stora Enso Skog and our service providers through clear communication and follow-up
  • Working on the development and improvement of methods and technology within the logging process

We offer an exciting and developing position with great variation in everyday life, the role is a combination of office work and being out in the field. You belong to a team consisting of production manager colleagues and flow leaders, and you report to the area manager.

Your office placement will be at one of our offices in the relevant geography.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for someone who is a structured and solution-oriented leader with a strong drive for productivity, quality, and safety. You thrive in an operational environment where you need to make decisions quickly and handle changes. Your knowledge comes from forestry or other relevant education and through experience in production management or similar roles – preferably within forestry or industry.

Skills and qualifications that we believe you have:

  • Ability to plan and work methodically towards set goals
  • Good leadership skills and strong communication ability
  • Analytical ability and understanding of forecasting and cost control
  • A high safety mindset and commitment to sustainability
  • You have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • You have a B driver's license
